Maison Margiela, the renowned French luxury fashion house, is re-entering the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the launch of the “MetaTABI” collection, featuring one of its most iconic boot models — Tabi. 

The announcement, shared on Maison Margiela’s X (Twitter) account earlier today, unveiled that the Tabi boots showcased in the collection faithfully mirror the real ones and come paired with corresponding physical items.

The MetaTABI NFTs will be available in two distinct color variants — black and white. The ultra-limited MetaTABI white boot, which is limited to only 15 pieces, comes with a physical Tabi boot. The limited edition MetaTABI black boot, which totals 1500 pieces, comes with a custom-made leather holder.

MetaTABI NFT owners will not only have the right to claim a limited edition item, but also gain access a tool for augmented reality that will allow them to explore Tabi digitally virtually. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to engage in gaming integrations and gain priority access to Maison Margiela’s Web3 roadmap and future initiatives.

The MetaTABI NFT Collection is the result of a collaboration between Aura Blockchain Consortium (a non-profit that offers blockchain agnostic services exclusively to luxury fashion brands) and The Fabricant (a premium digital fashion platform).
