Black Mirror Unveils NFT Experience “Smile Club” Inspired by “Nosedive” Episode

Inspired by the iconic “Nosedive” episode from Season 3, which delves into the perils of society’s obsession with validation, particularly through social media, the experience represents a collaboration between Animoca Brands’ subsidiary Pixelynx and Banijay Brands.
The digital collectibles at the center of the project grant holders exclusive experiences and rewards.
Minted on the Base blockchain, the initial release features two main NFTs — the Smile Pass and Smile ID. While the first, a premium collectorible, allows unlimited access to the Smile Club; the second, a collectible for free, only offers limited access. The Smile Pass is already sold out. However, the Smile ID has only just begun minting.
These NFTs give holders access to the Smile Club. They can take part in activities like creating characters, completing quests and earning points. The points they earn contribute to their social score, which unlocks various rewards.
The ultimate aim is for the project’s evolution into a comprehensive, digital platform. This will give fans the chance to explore Black Mirror from a completely new perspective. As the Smile Club project evolves, it anticipates multiple releases.
